JW writes in his Early Years that he works for the Walton Brothers and that one of the boats they owned was the JOS. NIXON.  This boat was renamed VALIANT and then later after a major rebuilding was re-named TRANSPORTER.

The photo above is a close up taken from a larger photo which can be viewed on Pittsburgh Early Photographs, the first photo on the page  The photo is from the book "Pittsburgh Story" and also appears in S&D Reflector December 1981.  In the S&D article it is written that this photo of the JOS. NIXON is the only known photo of this boat, at that time.
